Sillage is a vertical abstract diptych in grey, white, copper and bronze. Its two tall panels carry slow vertical flows of copper and bronze through grey and white, like mineral veins exposed in a cut slab of stone. Each panel reads as a polished cross-section of rock, with metallic seams that run, branch and fade. The surface is rich in texture and depth. Acrylic is layered on canvas and sealed under epoxy resin, which gives the work a glossy, light-reflective finish. Copper and bronze shift in tone as the light moves across the room, glowing warm in daylight and deepening in the evening. The palette pairs the calm of grey and white with the warmth of metal. It sits naturally beside marble and natural stone, warm wood, brass and bronze fittings, and soft neutral textiles, and brings a warm metallic accent into a neutral space.
